Picasso in Buenos Aires

Pablo Picasso, the great Spanish painter, lived for 26 years in Vallauris, France, where he met the barber Eugenio Arias, another Spaniard in exile, and with whom he talked about his country politics and many other issues. Thanks to their great friendship, over the years Picasso gave him 25 works, including drawings, ceramics, posters, and books.
After Picasso's death, Arias decided to donate these works to his community, and today they are part of the permanent collection of Picasso Museum in Madrid. They are now exhibited for the first time in Latin America, in Casa de la Cultura de Buenos Aires, thanks to an agreement of exchange and cooperation between both cities.
The show also includes several photographs by Andre Villers, also donated to the Picasso Museum by Arias in the past decade, and an bust of the artist, by F. Aguilar.
