Cubism exhibition at National Museum of Fine Arts

The collection presented at the National Museum of Fine Arts, "El Cubismo y sus entornos en las colecciones de Telefónica" (Cubism and its environment in the Telefonica collections), includes 41 works by outstanding European and Latin American artists representing this movement, like Albert Gleizes, Jean Metzinger, Louis Marcoussis, André Lhote, Auguste Herbin, Georges Valmier, Natalia Gontcharova, Alexandra Exter, Emilio Pettoruti, Alejandro Xul Solar, Joaquín Torres-García, Rafael Barradas, Vicente do Rego Monteiro, María Blanchard, Manuel Ángeles Ortiz, Joaquín Peinado and Daniel Vázquez Díaz.

With this exhibition the National Museum of Fine Arts and Fundacion Telefonica celebrate the centenary of this movement, associated to the origin of modernity,and which influence was spread all over the world from the beginings of the 20th century until present days.

Guided visits for children during winter holidays: "My friends the cubists", from Tuesday, July 29th to Friday, August 8th, Tuesday to Friday, and Saturday, July 26th, 9th and August 23rd, at 4 pm.

Guided visit by the curator of the exhibition, Eugenio Carmona: Wednesday, July 23rd, at 6 pm

Round table by Eugenio Carmona, curator of the exhibition, and Diana Weschler,: Thursday, July 24th, at 7 pm in the Auditorium.

A series of films about cubism: Friday, September 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th, 5 pm.
