Pepsi Music 2008

Pepsi Music, the most important music festival in Argentina, is back in September 2008, as every September since 2005. But this year the festival presents a new feature: the audience will be able to participate, choose and decide through the different interactive modules at the Pepsi Music 2008 official website:
  • Selección de bandas (Bands selection): An independent bands contest. The users pick their favorite bands, and the winners will take part in the festival's line up.
  • Presentador (Presenter): Users can upload videos of the four proposed bands (Massacre, Kapanga, Miranda, and Los Cafres), and the most voted video of each band will be screened before the presentation of every artist.
  • Cantante (Singer): users can upload their karaoke version of the main themes by Los Auténticos Decadentes. The winner will get free tickets to the festival.
  • Músico (Musician): users can upload videos of themselves playing guitar. The most voted video will share a rehearsal with the group Arbol.
  • Concurso de letras (Lyrics contest): the winning lyrics will be recorded by Los Tipitos.
  • Juegos (Games): fun games related to the festival.
  • Quién toca? (Who plays?): In this game users can arrange the artists in the different nights, according to their taste and based on the proposed bands. The winner will be the user whose schedule is closer to the definitive line up.
The confirmed bands at the moment are: The Hives (opening night, Septmeber 13th); Andrés Calamaro; Catupecu Machu; Dave Matthews Band; KY-Mani Marley; Los Cafres; Arbol; Los Tipitos; Massacre; El Otro Yo; Kapanga; Los Auténticos Decadentes; Nine Inch Nails; The Cult; Stone Temple Pilots; Motley Crue (closing night).
