Proyecto Déguste, edible art by La Cellule in Buenos Aires

For the third edition of Proyecto Déguste, Alliance Francaise Buenos Aires presents an installation by French artists Emmanuelle Becquemin and Stéphanie Sagot, from the art group "La Cellule", sponsored by the French Embassy, Cultures France, the Modern Art Museum, Palacio Duhau - Park Hyatt Buenos Aires, and Chandon. The artists will set up a pop universe of edible art, to share the pleasure of senses with the audience. Consumption is also at the center of their system of creation.
Becquemin and Sagot will work for several days at the kitchens of Palacio Duhau - Park Hyatt Buenos Aires, along with executive chef Cyril Cheype and his patisserie team, to create the works that will be presented at Alliance Francaise and "devoured" by guests the same night of the vernissage.
The name of the general installation is "It's such a candy world!", and includes at the same time different perfromances: "Floating buffet": delikatessen hunging from helium baloons, with the exact wight to keep them all at the same level; "Glory holes": naked human arms popping from holes in the wall, which play with the audience inviting them to get close to give them candies and lollypops; and "Creature": representatives of "La Cellule", dressed in sensual outfits with food sticked to their private parts.
