Gallery Nights moves to Punta del Este during January 2009

More than 25 art galleries take part in the traditional Gallery Nights, that moves to Punta del Este during January 2009, at the galleries located between the Bridges in La Barra and Manantiales. It will take place every Friday of January: Friday 2, 9, 16, and 23, and 30, from 8 pm until midnight.

People will be able to visit art galleries, studios, and interior design shops, to get connected in a different way with creativity and artists, and at the same time knowing the artistic proposals that they present in Punta del Este during the Summer of 2009. The Route of Art is an ideal place to be toured with friends and family. At all the participating spaces the artists will be awaiting the public with a welcome glass of champagne.

Gallery Nights is totally free of charge for the public. The tour starts immediately after the bridges in La Barra, and continues through Manantiales. It isn’t a one-way route, so visitors can start the tour wherever they find more convenient. To make access easier, there will be 4 buses, free of charge, marked as “CITI - Gallery Nights", with fixed stops, which will run continuously along the route, every 20 minutes from 8 PM to 10 PM.
