At the moment the city of Buenos Aires offers two Hop-on Hop-off bus services.
The yellow buses managed by the city's tourism office have been running since May 2009. Starting March 2020, a new red bus managed by the international company Grey Line has started operating in Buenos Aires, offering a new alternative route.

On both services a specialized tour guide on board provides visitors with informative material about the city, and audio guide is available in Spanish, English, Portuguese, German, Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Russian, and French.
It’s a Hop-On/Hop-Off service, which means you can get on and off the bus as many times as you like.

YELLOW ROUTE
The yellow buses run every 40 - 50 minutes, depending on traffic, on Saturdays, Sundays and National Holidays, from 9 am to 4.30 pm.

It sounds a good idea for the tourista who is only there for a few days, but quite honestly it looks to me an expensive way to see only a small part of the city. For me the only way to really enjoy Buenos aires is to get out and walk.

  2. Thanks for the great info on the tour. Can one get on anywhere the bus stops or must one start at Florida: Diagonal Norte and Florida?

  3. Hi Debi
Thanks for the comment. You can get on the bus and start the tour at any of the stops on the route. But I understand some of the stops are not very well marked and people have difficulty finding them.

  5. Its a shame for this company how their employees treat the guests on the bus. After looking long time for the stop no 8 we just saw that a bus came, we hurried there, it closed the door right when we came. We waited another 30 Minutes (total 1 hour now), the next bus came. We trusted that we can pay in the bus (like written on their website and on the sign at the bus stop). The escort guy refused to let us in the bus - we should buy tickets first (anywhere in the neighborhood, not to understand). We said that we waited already 1 hour in the hot sun (I am disabled in walking). With a stupid grin and no comment he closed the door and the bus disappeared. One hour wait to learn the bad behaviour of this employees. A shame for this company and the country how they treat their guests. We took a taxi - more convenient and much more cheaper.
