On Saturday, October 24, 2009, the city of Buenos Aires celebrates the
day of Palermo Neighborhood with a series of free cultural and sports
activities.
The main celebration will take place from 2 pm on
Av. Figueroa Alcorta (between Sarmiento and Dorrego), that will be
closed to the traffic between 2 pm and 8 pm.
The programmed activities are:
10 am: Exhibition of Historic Photos of Palermo.
Railings of the Botanical Garden – Av. Santa Fe 3900
2 pm: Show for children at the Planetarium.
Av. Sarmiento and Belisario Roldán
2 pm to 7 pm: VIVÍ PALERMO (Live Palermo) – on Av. Figueroa Alcorta (from Av. Sarmiento up to Av Dorrego)
2 pm: “Anecdotes of Palermo Neighborhood” - Patio Andaluz of the Rose Garden.
4 pm: Taekwondo Demonstration.
4.30 pm: Slalom Exhibition (in line skating).
6 pm: Korean Percussion Show. Group Nuripe.
8 pm: Tribute to Michael Jackson: multitudinary meeting to dance “Thriller” simultaneusly with other 300 cities in the world.
And during all afternoon:
· Recreational games for children.
· Gym classes and sports clinics.
· Reading and Art corners.
· Giant hopscotch games.
· Parasols and sun loungers to rest.
