Gallery Nights December 2009 - Special Edition in Palermo

On Wednesday, December 9th, 2009, from 7 PM, Gallery Nights, the original circuit for art lovers around more than 35 art galleries, antique shops, museums and cultural centers, presents this special  and last edition of 2009 that will take place in the neighborhood of Palermo Viejo. Gallery Nights is organized by the art magazine Arte al Día, the last Friday of every month.

As always, there will be live music and free shows, and guests will be welcomed with a complimentary glass of Chandon champagne. A “LAN Audio Guide Tour” is available (in Spanish only). Those who wish to participate in this virtual experience can get to the LAN stand at Pabellon 4, Uriarte 1332, from 7 PM to 10 PM, and, with an ID, will be able to pick up an MP3 with the information about the galleries and exhibits chosen. This information can also be downloaded from www.artealdia.com to make the visit with your own MP3.

A new addition to Gallery Nights this year is the presentation of “Iluminarte by Arnet”, featuring Argentine video art on a large screen, that will be set at Pasaje Russell and Thames.

The recommended exhibitions at this edition are: Florencia Bohtlingk at Galeria Dabbah Torrejón, Genoveva Fernández and Martin Calcagno at Elsi del Rio (Humboldt 1510), the individual exhiition by Catalina Schliebener at Pabellón 4 and the photographs of María Kusmuk - Dolores de Torres at Oxiro.

The Palermo Viejo circuit of Gallery Nights covers the streets of Arévalo, Aguirre, F. Acuña de Figueroa  and Santa Fé. There is also a free transportation service with fixed stops and a constant route to get to all of the spots in the circuit.
