Festival Buenos Aires Jazz 2010

Between December 3 and December 8, 2010, BUENOS AIRES JAZZ.10 presents a program of concerts by national and international artists that will offer the best of jazz in all its forms. The program of BAJ.10 will be divided into different sections:

International Concerts: The opening night at Teatro Coliseo, on Friday, December 3, at 8.30 pm, will feature Frank Carlberg and Christine Correa, followed by The Mingus Dinasty.
For the first time in Argentina, one of the most important musicians of the European scene: pianist Enrico Pieranunzi, who, for the closing the Festival, will present his album Fellini Jazz, which recreates those tunes that Nino Rotta wrote mainly for the famous film director, sharing the stage with two Argentine soloists, Diego Urcola and Ramiro Flores.
The French bass virtuoso Renaud Garcia-Fons will perform with his quartet South Line playing a music in which, as in a collage of sound, echoes of flamenco music, Latin rhythms and melodic long tradition of French music.
As always, the Latin American music will also be represented. From Brazil, the duo Mauro Senise-Gilson Peranzzetta. From Chile, trumpet player Sebastian Jordan and his quintet; and Hugo Fatorusso, from Uruguay.

"Cruces": Meetings between local and international artists at Notorious and Cafe Vinilo: Barry Altschul, Marc Perrenoud Trio, Helvio Alves, Kim Nazarian, Javier Vercher, Ernesto Jodos, Manuel Ochoa, Ricardo Cavalli, Jerónimo Carmona, Rodrigo Domínguez, Sergio Verdinelli, Ale Demogli, Patricio Carpossi, Pablo Motta and Francisco Lo Vuolo, among others.

Open Air concerts at the terrace of Centro Cultural Recoleta:.

Jazzologia, honoring the traditional jazz, with concerts by: Alejandra Martín, Fénix Jazz Band, Ricardo Pellican Trio, Delta Jazz Band, Nave Camaleón Trio, Roberto Catarineu Trio, Cuarteto Hugo Pierre y Ricardo Nolé Templando.

Jazz & Cine: screenings of movies and documentaries.

Tickets on sale at Casa de la Cultura, Av. De Mayo 575, and and at Teatro 25 de Mayo, Triunvirato 4444, Monday to Friday 11 am to 7 pm.
International Concerts range from $ 20 to $ 50 Pesos. Tickets for the Meetings are $ 20 Pesos. Paid clinics are $ 40 Pesos.
The rest of the activities and concerts are free of charge until reaching the maximum capacity of the venues and don't require advanced tickets
