The fixture of football (soccer) matches in Buenos Aires for the Copa America 2011, the most important football event in Latin America, has been announced.
Copa América is the oldest competition of soccer teams in the world. This year the tournament will take place in different cities in Argentina from July 1st to July 24th, 2011, with the presence of twelve teams, seven of which were in the 2010 World Cup's last eight: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Mexico, and Japan. The competition is equivalent to the UEFA European Football Championship, and is disputed in the same ways as the World Cup. Japan and Mexico are the only two non-South American teams invited to take part in this tournament as invitees.
