Buenos Aires Bike Festival


The first Bike Festival organized by the Ministry of Culture of Buenos Aires will be held on Saturday, October 27 and Sunday October 28, 2012. Two days to fully enjoy shows, games and exhibitions at the Planetarium, the Amphitheatre of Parque Centenario, and the Audiovisual District, with free admission.
The central concept of this important event is to celebrate and promote the use of bicycles as economic and healthy means of transportation in the City of Buenos Aires, thorugh an entertaining program of film, music, riding skills, games, fashion, art.
On Saturday and Sunday, from 2:00 pm at the Platenarium there will be demonstrations of skills and styles, artistic interventions on bikes, games for children and adults, a fair, fashion shows, and the starting point for a series of themed tours to see the city from the perspective of the bicycle.
A highlight of the program will be the section of Cinema with films specially selected for the Bycicle Film Festival (BFF), the largest of its kind, to be exhibited at the Audiovisual District (Zapiola 50, Colegiales).
On Sunday at the Amphitheatre of Parque Centario there will be rock concerts from 3:30 pm, and the closing at 8:00 pm with the screening of the acclaimed French animation film The Triplets of Bellville.

All the activities in the Festival are Free, on a first-come, first-served basis, until room capacity is reached.
