The Government of the City of Buenos Aires celebrates Immigrants Day with an open air Festival at the park surrounding the Planetarium Galileo Galilei (Av. Sarmiento & Figueroa Alcorta), on Sunday, September 22, 2013.
Groups representing the different communities that reside in the city of Buenos Aires will offer their typical dances, gastronomy and culture, in an event for the whole family.
The celebrations will start at 11.00 am with the marching band of the “Regimiento de Infantería 1 Patricios”.
On a large stage at the Planetarium, over 40 dance and music shows by 500 artists from 60 communities will be presented throughout the day.
There will be stands offering typical crafts, regional products, and traditional food and drinks.
The closing of the Festival, around 6.00 pm, will be with a fun and entertaining show by the group ¡Bailen!, a band made up by professional percussionists.
