On Saturday, November 8th, 2014, the traditional Mataderos Fair, organized by the Ministry of Culture of Buenos Aires, moves to Avenida de Mayo to offer a festival that will feature craft stalls, regional products, parades of carriages and horse riders, and folk music shows. The event, similar to the Fair held every Sunday in Mataderos, will take place from 11 am to 8 pm on Avenida de Mayo between Bolivar & Chacabuco, in downtown Buenos Aires.
Several music shows will be presented on the main stage, with a tribute to Carlos Saravia, founder of the folk group "Los Chalchaleros", with Lorena Astudillo as guest artist, and the presence of  Pancho y sus Manos Brujas, Pancho Escalada, Norma Aguero, among others.
Folk Dance shows will also be presented, with Sol Argentino and Percusion Buenos Aires.

The Fair will feature stalls with traditional crafts from our provinces, like “mates”, cutlery, silverware, textiles, leather and handicrafts of indigenous peoples, local products from around the country, including goat cheese, olives, wine, salami and alfajores, and traditional foods such as empanadas, locro, humita, tamales, meats, tortas fritas and pastelitos.
The Festival and all activities are free of charge, and will be suspended in case of rain.
