Chinese New Year Celebration in Belgrano

The Chinese New Year 4713 will be celebrated at the Chinese Quarter (Arribeños & Juramento) and Barrancas de Belgrano (Juramento & Virrey Vertiz). On this occasion, to mark the start of the Year of Wooden Sheep, a special two-day celebration will be held, on Saturday, February 14th, 2015, from 6 pm to 11 pm, and Sunday, February 15th, 2015, from 2 pm to 8 pm.

This is the most important celebration in the Chinese culture. More than 100 gastronomic and cultural stands distributed along Barrancas de Belgrano and the streets Arribeños and Mendoza will provide a festive, attractive and memorable environment for visitors. 

The mega event will feature the traditional Dragon Dance and Lion Dance, demonstrations of Oriental martial arts; Wushu Kung Fu; Tea Ceremony; Chinese Opera; Traditional Chines Puppets; Origami; and Tango Shows.

This year the Argentine Federation of Foreign Communities will also participate in the event, through the representatives of different communities residing in Argentina that will be presenting dance and music shows from different countries.

The closing of the mega event will be on Sunday with a spectacular fireworks show.
