Festival of the Foreign Communities 2015

A big festival celebrating the foreign communities that live in Argentina will be held on Saturday November 7th and Sunday November 8th, 2015 in the neighborhood of Retiro.
More than 50 groups representing the different communities that reside in Argentina will offer their typical dances and culture, in an event for the whole family.
There will be 60 stands offering typical crafts, regional products, books, clothes, ceramics, bijou, musical instruments, and traditional food and drinks. The international menu will include German beer, Oriental shawarmas, Brazilian cachaça Spanish paella, Paraguayan soup, Bulgarian kebapche, Armenian shis ke bab, Croatian sarma, Slovenian goulash with spetzel, German lebkuchen, Venezuelan arepas, Italian lemoncello, Peruvian papa a la huancaína peruana, among many other typical dishes.
During the weekend the Immigration Museum will be open to the public, and visitors will have the chance to consult the Immigration data base and get a certificate about the arrival of their ancestors in the port of Buenos Aires.

The event will take place at Direccion Nacional de Migraciones, Av. Antártida Argentina 1355.
Saturday 7: 11 am to 8 pm
Sunday 8: 11 am to 5 pm
Free entrance
In case of rain the event will be postponed for the following weekend.
