The Bookstore Night - La Noche de las Librerias 2016

On Saturday, March 12th, 2016, the City of Buenos Aires presents a new edition of The Bookstore Night (La Noche de las Librerías), with free activities in over 50 bookstores from 6 pm till Sunday at 1.00 am. This traditional event represents the publishing industry and pays tribute to bookstores and booksellers in the City, with activities in their premises, and the traditional festival on Avenida Corrientes.

During the Bookstore Night, the vehicular traffic will be closed on Avenida Corrientes from Libertad St up to Junín St, where multiple cultural activities will take place simultaneously in bookstores, bars, theaters and on the streets, including book presentations, workshops, story telling, talks with authors, cosplay contest, live music, and more.

The main musical show will be at 10.30 pm, presenting the Spanish artist Alex Ubago together with other local artists, on the main stage located at the Obelisco, on Avenida Corrientes 1500.
