American celebration with Music and Dance in Buenos Aires

Every Tuesday, from January 24th through February 28th, 2017, and from 7.30 pm to 12 am, the music, the culture and the gastronomy of the American continent will be celebrated with open air shows at calle Esmeralda, between Corrientes and Lavalle, at the door of Teatro Maipo, with food trucks, live music and special performances.

PROGRAM

January 24 - Uruguay & Argentina
The most fun murga and candombe bands & tango dances.

January 31 - Tribute to the 70's /80's
DJ Pont Lezica. With music until midnight with the spirit of the great Discos.

February 7 - Brasil, Mexico & Peru
Mariachis and renowned bands will revive the Carnaval carioca, the rhythms of capoeira, the spirit of the Peruvian music, with the typical costumes of each region and tasting of their food.

February 14 - Swing & Folk
Swing, folk, country, gospel and jazz bands will offer a truly American Festival in downtown Buenos Aires. Professors of Line Dance + Swing will give demonstrations to the public. Typical food like hamburgers, barbecue ribs and French fries.

February 21 - Central America and the Caribbean
Salsa, bachata and merengue, with great voices from Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Colombia, and their tasty food.

February 28 - Closing of the events 
A great 12 hour long party, from 10 am to 10 pm, celebrating all the worldwide cultures that have contributed to make this country, including Italy, Spain, Japan, Ireland, and China, among others, with their voices, typical dances and gastronomy.

The activities will not be suspended for rain.
