The 2018 edition of the Buenos Aires Coffee Festival (FECA) will be held on Saturday, May 19th and Sunday, May 20th at  Plaza República del Perú (Av. Figueroa Alcorta & Salguero), from 10 am to 8 pm, with free access to the public.

The Festival will feature a sector with 25 stalls from the best Notable Cafes of Buenos Aires, as well as other modern and traditional cafes, all with options to taste their best coffees; a Market to purchase grains to take home; and 8 food trucks with different gastronomic offers for lunch or sweet pastries to enjoy with your coffee.

At the Auditorium visitors will be able to attend a series of talks and workshops (all in Spanish): 

Saturday 19
10.30 am: Identity of the Notable Bars as a tourist and cultural product. 
11.30 am: The Italian espresso. The tradition of espresso and the Italian imprint in the local cafes. 
12.30 pm: Sustainability in the process of coffee production.
1.30 pm: Introduction to roasting and the differences according to the origin and variety.
2.30 pm to 4.3 pm: Workshops: • Author coffee • Latte Art • Tastings
5.00 pm: The success of coffee in the social media.
5.30 pm: Tango Class
7.00 pm: Music Show by Punto Caramelo

Sunday 20
11.00 am: Why is coffee good for us? Nutritional contents.
12.00 pm: The boom of cold coffee. Class by baristas
1.00 pm: The ABC of the coffee at home. Tips for conservation, preparation and home methods.
2.30 pm to 4.3 pm: Workshops: • Cocktails and coffee • How to order? Difference between cortado, macchiato, flat white and cappuccino • Three ways of being a barista at home.
4.30 pm: Theater play
6.00 pm: The dilemma of espresso. The customs of the porteños versus the correct preparation.
7.00 pm: Music Show by Punto Caramelo

The Festival may be suspended in case of rain.
