Night Edition of the Organic and Healthy Food Market in Palermo


The main producers of organic and healthy food in Argentina will gather once again, this time for a night edition of the traditional Buenos Aires Market, on Saturday, December 14th, 2019, from 5.00 pm to 12.00 am, with free access to the public.

Visitors will have the opportunity to taste free samples and buy natural foods and beverages at promotional prices in an area specially located at Parque Las Heras, on Av. Las Heras & Coronel Díaz, Palermo.

More than 60 gazebos will be installed inside the park, where the participating producers will offer organic and natural products such as Oils; Alcoholic drinks (organic wines, beers); Soft drinks and natural juices; Cereals and seeds; Spices; Nuts; Fruits & Vegetables; Farm produce; Delicatessen; Gourmet food; Flour and derivatives; Mushrooms; Infusions; Vegetables; Dairy; Bakery; Jams; edible Flowers; Pasta; Herbs; Snacks, and more.

More than 10 food trucks will be offering special menus for visitors and healthy food to go or to enjoy right there on the communal tables of this picturesque market.

Yerba Mate Fair 'Matear 2019'



MATEAR, the only Fair dedicated exclusively to the world of Mate, organized by the National Institute of Yerba Mate (INYM) will take place on Friday, November 29th, Saturday November 30th and Sunday, December 1st of 2019 at La Rural Exhibition Center, from 11 am to 8 pm, with free entrance to the public.

During these three days visitors will have the chance learn and discover everything about Argentina's national infusion with talks, lessons and workshops, and find all the products necessary to prepare a good mate:

Yerba Mate: purchase and taste yerba mate directly from the producers, and even get some brands that cannot be found at the supermarkets; discover the many different uses of Yerba mate in gastronomy and drinks; find promotions and offers.

Accessories: thermos, holders, mate bags, yerba and sugar containers, bombillas and mate gourds made with all kinds of different materials. 

Snacks and cookies: delicious cookies and alfajores to accompany your Mate.

Mate Court: a special place to seat and enjoy some mates with family and friends.

Burger Fest November 2019


A new edition of "Burger Fest", the gastronomic festival that brings together the best burger joints and gourmet burger cooks in Buenos Aires, will take place on Saturday, November 16th and Sunday, November 17th, 2019 at Hipodromo de Palermo, on Av. del Libertador & Dorrego, from 12:00 noon to 11:00 pm, with free entrance to the public.

More than 30 stands and food trucks will be offering burgers in all its varieties, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.

The Burger Fest will also include a sector specially dedicated to other forms of fast food, like hot dogs, arepas, crepes, bagels tacos and sandwiches; as well as a beer garden, and spaces dedicated to wines, cocktails and natural juices, ice cream and other desserts.

Festival Sabores de la Patria 2019



The Festival dedicated to the traditional Argentine gastronomy "Sabores de la Patria" ("The flavors of our homeland"), will be held at Barrancas de Belgrano on Sunday, November 17th, 2019, from 4:00 pm to 12:00 am, offering a great variety of the most representative typical dishes of our country, such as: locro, carbonada, guiso de lentejas, humita al plato, polenta grillada, humita en chala, tamales, pastel de papas, empanadas, & asado, among many other local specialties.

There will also be a market with traditional Argentine products, like yerba mate, dulce de leche, wines, cold cuts, cheese, preserves, spices, honey, alfajores, and much more.

Buenos Aires Gastronomy Week 2019


The Buenos Aires Gastronomy Week (Semana de la Gastronomía Porteña), organized by the Association of Hotels, Restaurants, Bars and Cafés, together with the City Government of Buenos Aires, will be held from November 4th to November 10th, 2019.

Every day of the Gastronomy week several restaurants around the city will offer a special 3 step lunch and/or dinner menu at a promotional fixed price.

Some of the restaurants will include 2 bottles of Malbec wine every 2 persons that order the promotional menus - one for the meal and one to take away.

The opening of this gastronomy week will be on Saturday, November 2nd, from 7 pm to 11 pm, with a giant pot of "chorizo a la pomarola" at the terrace of Buenos Aires Design (Av. del Libertador & Pueyrredon). The sandwiches on sale will have an accessible price and the procedures will be donated to a children's cancer foundation.

Street Food and Music Festival at La Rural - November 2019



A new edition of the Food and Music Festival "Food Fest BA" will take place on Saturday, November 9th and Sunday, November 10th of 2019 at the central court of La Rural Exhibition Center, on Av. Santa Fe 4201 (Plaza Italia), with free entrance to the public.

This is an open air event offering Street Food and music shows, where visitors have the chance to try different kinds of food from the best Food Trucks in the city, as well as wines, beers and cocktails.

Various emerging artists and music bands will be presenting live music shows throughout the weekend, and an exclusive DJ Truck will liven up the atmosphere of the event.

Burger Fest October 2019


A new edition of "Burger Fest", a gastronomic festival that brings together the best burger joints and gourmet burger cooks in Buenos Aires, will take place on Saturday, October 5th and Sunday,  October 6th, 2019 next to the Rose Garden, on Av. del Libertador & Sarmiento, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, with free entrance to the public.

The Burger Fest will also include a sector specially dedicated to other forms of fast food, like hot dogs, arepas, crepes, bagels tacos and sandwiches, as well as ice cream and other desserts.

Buenos Aires Food Week - October 2019



Buenos Aires Food Week, the bi-annual event in which the best restaurants in the city offer lunch and dinner menus at promotional prices, will be held again from September 30th through October 13th of 2019 (previous week for Mastercard Argentina cardholders only).

The goal of this Food Week is democratizing access to haute-cuisine, offering the general public the opportunity to discover new restaurants and taste unique dishes at attractive prices.

Each restaurant will offer a fixed three step menu (starter, main course and dessert) with a fixed price of $470 Pesos for lunch and $790 Pesos for dinner, not including drinks, service charge, or tip, + an optional donation in a sealed envelope to the charity organization Fundación Banco de Alimentos.

Furthermore all the restaurants will offer a complimentary Aperol Spritz aperitif to each person that orders the Buenos Aires Food Week menu.

Some restaurants offer lunch or dinner menu only. Check the conditions of participation of every restaurant before making a reservation.
If places are left available, people may also attend the restaurant of their choice directly without reservation.

Buenos Aires celebrates Italy 2019


The Italian community in Argentina will be celebrated with a big open air Festival and Fair on Sunday, September 29th, 2019, on Avenida de Mayo y Bolivar, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

At the more than 50 stalls and food trucks, visitors will have the chance to taste typical Italian dishes, like cannoli, sfogliatella, crustoli, calzone and gelatti italiani; and purchase crafts from all regions in Italy, among other activities.

In this edition the special guest will be the region of Puglia, with the presence of its president Michele Emiliano.

There will be musical shows at the main stage, with the special participation of Orchestra Popolare della Notte della Taranta, one of the most popular musical groups in Italy.

Buenos Aires celebrates the Argentine regions




On Saturday, August 31st, 2019, the Fair of the Argentine Regions will be held on Avenida de Mayo between Bolivar & Chacabuco, from 12 pm to 6 pm, with the participation of over 100 small producers and the representation of all the provinces from all over the country.

Visitors will find crafts, wines and beers, chocolate, jams, cold meats, diary, yerba mate, olives, among many other national products.

The Fair will also feature a food court offering typical dishes at accessible prices, including empanadas from different provinces, parrilla, ice cream, Andean food, as well as cooking classes to learn to prepare regional dishes.

In addition, a varied selection of artists will present traditional music and dance shows.

Gastronomic Fair Masticar 2019



Feria Masticar, the food fair organized by ACELGA, an association entirely composed by chefs and entrepreneurs in the gastronomic business, will be held on August 15, 16, 17 and 18 of 2019 at El Dorrego, in the neighborhood of Colegiales, celebrating its 10th anniversary.

This project arose from the common interest of the members of ACELGA, to raise awareness about the importance of good nutrition. It also seeks to promote Argentine cuisine.

The real heart of the Fair is the Market, where visitors will be able to purchase regional products from all the Argentine provinces, specially selected by the experts, like, among other things: oranges, avocados and tomatoes from Tucumán; a variety of tomatoes and peppers from Salta; moringa from Misiones; garlic from Mendoza; artichokes from La Plata. cheese from different provinces (San Juan, Salta, Jujuy, Córdoba, Tucumán, Buenos Aires); and much more.

In this anniversary edition Peru will be the invited country. Producers from this country will bring their asparagus and avocados of the greatest quality. Gastón Acurio, the chef who revolutionized the Peruvian cuisine, will be present at the Fair, as well as José del Castillo, who runs the restaurant Isolina (number 12 at the Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants ranking); Coco Tomita, founder of Shizen Barra Nikkei; and Martha Palacios.

The special activities include cooking classes and talks by renowned chefs, such as Christophe Krywonis, Narda Lepes, Dolli Irigoyen, Osvaldo Gross, Donato De Santis, Pablo Massey, Tomás Kalika, Maru Botana, Lele Cristóbal, Pedro Bargero, Inés de los Santos, Roberto and Christian Petersen, Gonzalo Alderete and Juan Braceli.

The Fair will be honored again with the presence of the Argentine chef Mauro Colagreco, owner of the restaurant Mirazur, which has been awarded as Best Restaurant in the World by The World’s 50 Best.

At the Beer Garden and Wine Bars premium wineries and beer makers of Argentina will present their best products for tasting.

Visitors will have the opportunity to taste our typical food and the dishes from our most renowned restaurants at promotional prices - $100, $150 and $200 Argentine Pesos per dish - at more of 50 food stands and food trucks run by their own chefs, such as:  La Panadería de Pablo, Donato De Santis, Don Julio, Tanta, Café San Juan, Los Petersen, Maru Botana, Compañía de Chocolates, Chila, Italpast, Pampa Roja, El Pobre Luis, Basa, Carne, Eat, Möoi by Jessica Lekerman, Austria, Alo’s, Puratierra, Chan Chan., among others.

French Street Market in Recoleta - July 2019



Celebrating the 230th anniversary of the French Revolution, another edition of the authentic French Market "Le Marché" will be installed in Plaza Francia, on Av. Del Libertador between Dr. Luis Agote & Av. Pueyrredón on Saturday, July 13th and Sunday, July 14th, 2019, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Over 25 gastronomic stalls run by some of the most renowned French chefs and restaurants in Argentina will be offering their special dishes characteristic of the French cuisine, such as boeuf bourguignon, carbonade flamande, crêpes, raclette, quiches, onion soup. Visitors will have the chance to taste and purchase French bakeries and different specialties, like macarons, croissants, éclairs, croque-monsieur, pains au chocolat, crème brûlée, tarte Tatin, Paris-Brest, and much more!


There will be a sector dedicated to French produce, like artisan cheese, cold cuts, bread, mustard, jams, among many other delicacies.

Several special events will be held in the city of Buenos Aires next Monday, and Tuesday for the anniversary of the Independence of Argentina, which is celebrated on July 9th.

EMPANADA FESTIVAL
The Argentine Independence will be celebrated at Feria de Mataderos with the Empanada Festival, where more than 20 gastronomic stalls will be offering the best empanadas of the country, as well as other typical dishes. Visitors will have the chance to attend the competition between the different provinces for the best repulgue, the best filling, and the best empanada.
The Mataderos Fair will be open as every Sunday and National Holiday with its more than 500 artisans' stalls, horse ring races, and large stage with musical shows.

MILITARY PARADE
A Military parade with the participation of 3500 officers pertaining to the Armed Forces of Argentina, members of the Security Forces, Marching Bands from the Argentine Army, Federal Police, and Naval Prefecture, and veterans of Malvinas War, will be held along Avenida de Libertador between Salguero and Av. Dorrego.
The public will be able to take their places along Av. del Libertador from 10:00 am when the concentration of the Bands will start.
The Parade will start at 12:00 pm, when the officers will start marching, accompanied by 16 airplanes from the Argentinian Air Force. 

Food and Crafts Fair Caminos y Sabores (Roads and Flavors) 2019



The 15th edition of the food and crafts fair "Caminos y Sabores" (Roads and Flavors), will feature during 4 days, between July 6th and July 9th, 2019 the offers in typical food, tourism and handicrafts from all the regions in Argentina.

More than 400 producers from all the Argentine provinces will be represented in the exhibition through their native foods and crafts. As every year from the first edition in 2005, visitors will have the opportunity to sample and buy: olive oil; home made salamis; cow, sheep and goat cheeses; wines from family owned wineries; homemade jellies; yerba mate and tea; craft beer; dulce de leche; just to mention some of the hundreds of products available.

At the Food Court visitors will be able to try special menus, "picadas", and drinks at affordable prices.

In addition, every day visitors will have the chance to attend live shows and cooking classes.

There's also a sector where visitors will find a variety of handicrafts made with the typical materials and features of every Argentine region, including wool and leather products, jewelry with rodocrosite stone, and much more.

Festival celebrating the Argentine-Japanese friendship


On Sunday, June 30th, 2019, the Japanese community in Argentina celebrates the friendship between the two countries with an open air Festival showcasing traditional Japanese music, dance, martial arts, and gastronomy.

On this day the Japanese Garden will open its doors with free entrance to the public, from 10 am to 6 pm. During the day different dance groups, singers and music bands representing the Japanese community together with Argentine folk groups will offer their shows on the main stage on Ave Berro between Av. Sarmiento and Casares - which will be closed to the traffic - and inside the Japanese Garden.

Typical Japanese products, crafts, souvenirs and traditional food - like Yakimeshi, Yakisoba, Sushi, Nikuman, Harumaki, Karaage - will be on sale at more than 70 stands.

This Festival is organized by the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, the Argentine-Japanese Cultural Foundation, and sponsored by the Embassy of Japan in Argentina and the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Buenos Aires celebrates Israel


As part of the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the State of Israel, the government of the city of Buenos Aires presents the festival Buenos Aires Celebrates Israel, that will be held on Sunday, June 2nd, 2019, from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm, on Av. Iraola y Montt (next to Av. del Libertador & Av. Sarmiento and the Rose Garden), with typical food, music, dance, and activities for the whole family.

There will be stands offering typical dishes from the traditional Israeli and Mid-Eastern gastronomy, like knishes, shawarma, falafel, hummus, and many other options.

Visitors will have the chance to learn about the work and cultural projects of Israeli organizations, schools, universities and other NGOs.

Musical shows will be presented in the big stage. An Argentine-Israeli couple will dance to tango with lyrics in Spanish and Hebrew, and a local dance group will offer a “Gaga” show, a style created by the Israeli choreographer Ohan Naharin, among other artists.

French Street Market in Recoleta - June 2019

On Sunday, May 26th, 2019, the Fair of the Argentine Regions will be held at Puente de la Mujer in Puerto Madero, from 12 pm to 9 pm, with the participation of over 100 small producers and the representation of all the provinces from all over the country. This celebration will be part of the inauguration of Paseo del Bajo, the new highway that will run from North to South along Puero Madero.

Visitors will find stands selling crafts, wines and beers, chocolate, jams, cold meats, diary, yerba mate, olives, among many other traditional national products, and a food court sector offering typical dishes from all the Argentine Regions at accessible prices, including empanadas from different provinces, parrilla, ice cream, Andean food, and much more.

The Festival will also feature an exhibition of historical and antique cars.

In addition, a varied selection of local artists will present music and dance shows throughout the day, finishing with a big closing show by Los Pericos.

The access will be through Alicia Moreau de Justo 1140, corner Macacha Güemes, and Alicia Moreau de Justo 250 (200 meters before Grierson).

Gluten Free Fair - May 2019 edition



A new edition of "Feria Sin TACC", the Food Fair completely dedicated to gluten free products will be held on Saturday, May 11th and Sunday, May 12th of 2019 at the Palermo Woods, on Av. Sarmiento & Iraola, next to the Rose Garden, from 11 am to 6 pm.

The Fair will be divided into two sectors:

Market: 40 stalls offering oil, spices, marmalade, jams, infusions, soft drinks, delicatessen, diary, bread, fruits and vegetables, pasta, snacks, nuts, cold cuts, cereals and grains, cookies, juices, preserves, flour, frozen food, soups.

Food court: Stands and food trucks offering prepared food to go or to enjoy at the communal tables, including sushi, meat, pasta, author dishes, vegetarian options, ethnic food, among many other options. The stalls will be run by restaurants and cooks with a vast experience in the elaboration of gluten free food.
