Summer 2010: free cultural activities in Buenos Aires

The government of the City of Buenos Aires presents "Aires Buenos Aires - Cultura para respirar" (Culture to Breathe), a program of cultural activities that starts next Saturday, January 9th, 2010 consisting on over 300 free events, including: musical shows, drive-in movies, theater plays, activities for children, circus, open air "milongas", and numerous musical events, every day during January and February, 2010.
David Lebon, Catupecu Machu, Divididos, Pedro Aznar, Las Pelotas, Attaque 77, Los Auténticos Decadentes, Miranda!, Los Cafres, Bahiano, Luis Salinas, Juana Molina, Javier Malosetti, are some of the artists that will entertain the audiences with their shows.
The schedule includes over 300 free events in different neighborhoods around Buenos Aires: movies, theater plays, recitals at Parque Roca and Costanera Sur, popular "milongas" in parks around the city, children's shows, circus shows, painting workshops for kids at Pasaje Lanin, Julio Bocca's Ballet Argentino at the Amphitheater of Parque Centenario, among many others.
The drive-in will be set up at the Rose Garden, on Iraola & Sarmiento, Paseo de la Infanta, every Saturday and Sunday at 9:00 PM. There will also be stalls for spectators without a car. The first  showing will be "El Secreto de sus ojos", with Ricardo Darin, directed by Juan Jose Campanella.

The closing of the activities will be on February 20th, 7 pm, with a tango show celebrating Mariano Mores at the Obelisk.
