VIII Ancient Music Festival

San Ignacio de Loyola, the oldest church in Buenos Aires, located in the historic Manzana de las Luces, presents the VIII Ancient Music Festival, a program of concerts destined to raising funds for the restoration of the temple, a National Historic Monument built 300 years ago by the Jesuits.
The program will consist of Ancient Music and Latin American Baroque concerts, performed by outstanding groups from Argentina, Paraguay, Bolivia and Uruguay, that will take place every Tuesday between November 5 and December 10, 2013 at the same church of San Ignacio de Loyola, located in Bolivar 255, San Telmo. The inaugural concert, on October 15th, will be dedicated to Pope Francis.

Inaugural Concert of the Festival "Honor to Pope Francis"

Ensamble “De Profundis”, Montevideo, Uruguay.

La Barroca del Suquía
Conductor: Manfredo Kraemer, Córdoba, Argentina.

Tuesday, November 19 - 8:00 pm:
String Orchestra of San José de Chiquitos, Bolivia.
Conductor: Rubén Darío Suárez Arana Mercado.

Tuesday, November 26 - 8:00 pm:
String Orchestra of Santa Ana de Velasco, Bolivia.
Conductor: Rubén Darío Suárez Arana Mercado.

Tuesday, December 3 - 8:00 pm:
Ensamble del Instituto de Investigación Musicológica "Carlos Vega".
Conductor: Sergio Pelacani. 
Facultad de Artes y Ciencias Musicales, Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina.

Tuesday, December 10 -8:00 pm:
Closing Concert
Capilla Musical de San Ignacio y Orquesta Infantil- Juvenil de San Ignacio. Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Conductor: Felipe Delsart.

Free entrance. Donations will be destined to the restoration of the church.
