On the night of Saturday, January 24th, 2015 from 8 pm, the sky over La Boca will be covered with magic, color and music by the hand of Cai Guo-Qiang. Recognized internationally as the greatest creator of fireworks worldwide, Cai Guo-Qiang produced numerous artistic events, including the fireworks show for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

“La Vida es una Milonga: tango en fuegos artificiales para Argentina” (Life is a Milonga. Tango in fireworks for Argentina), is the first event that the artist designs and performs in Latin America, and will be the biggest event of this type in Argentina. Also for the first time is the tango his source of inspiration.

On this occasion the artist uses the most advanced pyrotechnical technology that coordinates fireworks and music in an event that captures the sensuality and traces a poetic journey throughout the history of tango, its music and choreography. The artists plans to get inspired live by the movements of several dance couples, creating figures in the sky with his pyrotechnics.

La Vuelta de Rocha becomes an outdoor milonga where each member of the audience is both a spectator and a protagonist, with fireworks, dancers and musicians.

Conceived by Fundación Proa and Cai Studio, the event is produced by Alon Foundation and the Government of the City of Buenos Aires.
