Autoclasica 2016, the biggest festival for classic cars and motorcycles in South America will take place between Friday, October 7th and Monday October 10th, 2016, at the Gardens of San Isidro Race Track (Hipodromo de San Isidro).
Autoclasica features 900 antique vehicles in their original state, and in perfect working conditions, as they were at the moment of their manufacture, including cars, motorcycles, utilitarians, buses, boats, farm machinery and military vehicles.
The exhibition this year celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the emblematic Argentine car Torino, with the exhibition of two of the three historic Torino 380W that raced in Nürburgring “The Marathon of the Roads” in 1969.
Jaguar will exhibit 40 cars that will represent the history of the distinguished British brand. BMW will celebrate its 100th anniversary with an exhibition of cars and motorcycles, from the oldest to the newest models. Renault will bring from France its Renault Classics: vehicles constructed specially to break speed records at the salt flats or circuits like Monthéry.
The Ministry of Tourism of Argentina will present the mythical Route 40, the traditional road that passes through the provinces of Jujuy, Salta, Catamarca, La Rioja, San Juan, Mendoza, Neuquén, Rio Negro, Chubut, Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego.
More than 20 restored vehicles will represent the history of motor racing competition around a dynamic circuit so the fans can enjoy these vehicles running.
For collectors, the classic "Autojumble" and "Motojumble", with over 100 stands offering antique pieces and accessories, books, models, and auto clubs stands from around the country.
On Sunday 9 a jury will award the most outstanding vehicles in every category of the Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens (FIVA) in exhibition, and the "Best of Show” between autos and motorcycles of the year.
