Italian Food Week 2017

The Tourism Entity of the City of Buenos Aires and the Italian Embassy in Argentina present the "Italian Food Week - Semana de la Cocina Italiana en Buenos Aires", a week dedicated to honor the Italian gastronomic traditions in Buenos Aires, that will take place from June 19th to June 25th, 2017.

This year the events will be organized in 4 different itineraries:

1. Mangia e Bevi: 28 of the best Italian restaurants in the city will offer lunch and dinner menus at promotional prices. Each restaurant will offer a menu with a fixed price of $250 Pesos or $450 Pesos, per person. Cover charge and Campari aperitif included. Drinks included only when mentioned.

Some of the menus are only available on certain days of the week and some are available by previous reservation only, so make sure to read about these conditions on the website.

2. Italian Pizza: 6 of La Continental restaurants will offer a menu dedicated to different varieties of Italian pizza for AR$250. For more info click here

3. Street Food and Beer: the beer brewery Antares will offer a menu combining the Italian street food with artisan beer, for AR$250). For more info click here

4. Italian Ice Cream: During the week a group of ice cream shops will offer typical Italian flavors (fiordilatte, cioccolato fondente, pistacchio, nocciola, tiramisú e stracciatella) for a special price of AR$195 a kilo. Complete list here.

The closing of the week will be celebrated on Saturday, June 25th, with a big Italian Food Festival, with free entrance to the public, at Usina del Arte (Agustín R. Caffarena 1, La Boca), from 11 am to 6 pm, with dozens of food stands: tastings and sale of typical products (pasta, prosecco, wines, olive oil, cool cuts, porchetta, mineral water, street food, bread, rice, among others). 
free tastings of Campari products; free concert of musical pieces by Giuseppe Verdi; and screening of the film La Stanza del Figlio, by Nanni Moretti.
