Expotrastiendas 2008, the Art Galleries' Exhibition

Expotrastiendas, the art fair organized by the Argentine Association of Art Galleries (Asociación Argentina de Galerías de Arte or AAGA) since 2001 aims to promote and disseminate visual arts, helping artists to show their production in a different context, which attracts collectors and buyers as well as the general public.
Expotrastiendas and AAGA jointly organize different cultural events, such as seminars, contests and exhibitions, which foster and provide dynamism to the art market.
This year, Expotrastiendas will include a place for the electronic arts, organized by Rodrigo Alonso. Buenos Aires’ Government and the Mexican Embassy will pay tribute to the Argentine art expert Raquel Tibol, a naturalized Mexican. Peruvian reviewer Jorge Villacorta will take part in this event.
