These events are part of a program of festivities destined to pay homage to the different communities present in the city, that has been carried out throughout the year. This weekend the invited countries will be Croatia and Italy, in two artistic and cultural events that will take place on Avenida de Mayo between Bolivar and Chacabuco.

On Saturday, October 25th, 2014, the guest country will be Croatia, starting at 11 am, with the participation of dance groups, singers, and instrumental  traditional and modern musical groups,
The gastronomic stands along Av. de Mayo will offer the delicious gulaš with spaetzel, sausage with chucrut, traditional Croatian and mid-European pastries. Visitors will also have the chance to purchase books, paintings, crafts, Croatia t-shirts, and participate in activities like learning the traditional dance or make collective works or art in decoupage with traditional Croatian motives, that will be raffled among the public at the end of the day along with a basket with traditional products

On Sunday, October 26th, 2014, it will be the turn of Italy. The event will start at 11.00 am. Musical shows and dance groups will represent the traditions of the varied Italian culture on two large stages.
At the more than 70 stalls that will be set along the Avenue, visitors will also have the chance to taste typical Italian dishes, like cannoli, sfogliatella, crustoli, calzone and gelatti italiani; and purchase crafts from all regions in Italy, among other activities.
At 5 pm a group "Tarantella" will be danced along all Avenida de Mayo, with the participation of the public, followed by lyrical singing by the Company Giuseppe Verdi, and a raffle for two tickets to Italy to attend the Expo Milan 2015 at 6 pm, to culminate the event with an emblematic Italian song sang by all the artists and the public.
