Celabrations of Independence Day and 121st Anniversary of Avenida de Mayo
On Thursday, July 9th, 2015, a big event will be held to celebrate Argentina´s Independence Day, and the 121st anniversary of the historical Avenida de Mayo. The ceremony is programmed to start at 11.00 am on Avenida de Mayo and Luis Saenz Peña, with the hoisting of the Flag and the intonation of the National Anthem with the participation of the band of Regimiento de Patricios, followed by the civic-military parade that will cover the avenue from Plaza Moreno to Plaza de Mayo, and the representatives of different foreign communities that will display their typical costumes, music and dance.
The celebrations will continue at the big stages located at Plaza Moreno and Plaza de Mayo, by different soloists, folk and tango music groups and dancers that will perform the "Gran Pericon Nacional", starting at 1 pm.
At 1.30 pm the passage at Palacio Barolo will be open to the public, with the projection of a video with the history of the building.
Along the 10 blocks of Avenida de Mayo there will be gastronomic stands from different provinces and artisans with typical products from every region of the country.

The closing will be at 6 pm with music to dance on the streets.
