Buenos Aires Gastronomy Week 2015

The Buenos Aires Gastronomy Week (Semana de la Gastronomía Porteña), organized by the Association of Hotels, Restaurants, Bars and Cafés, together with the City Government and the Spanish Cultural Center in Buenos Aires will be held from October 31st to November 8th, 2015.
This year the event is specially dedicated to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the edition of the second part of Don Quixote, by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra.

Several cultural events will be presented during the week, as well as gastronomy talks, elaboration of special drinks, interventions in Notable Bars with readings of parts of Don Quixote, and more activities. 

Opening night:
The Buenos Aires Gastronomy Week with start simultaneously with the Museum Night, on Saturday 31st from 7 pm, on Av. del Libertador between Tagle and Austria - Plaza República Oriental del Uruguay, At 8.30 pm the Ballet of Teatro San Martín will offer a special presentation of Himno a la Alegría, directed by Mauricio Wainrot, and at 9 pm the Ballet Nacional Sodre, directed by Julio Bocca, will present a fragment of Don Quixote.

Special Quixote Menues:
Every day of the Gastronomy week several restaurants around the city will offer a special "Quixote" menu, with a fixed price of  $195 Pesos for lunch, and $295 pesos for dinner.

Closing event:
The closing of the 2015 Gastronomy Week will be on Sunday, November 8th, from 12 pm on Avenida de Mayo & Santiago del Estero, with a fair in benefit of Fundación Natalí Dafne Flexer, offering special products like paella, tapas, jams and Cupcakes, and a master cooking class.
On a big stage there will be presentations by the bandoneon player Carla Algeri at 3:30 pm, and Mora Godoy with her tango show at 5:30 pm.
