Malbec Week and Malbec World Day Celebrations 2016

Malbec World Day is celebrated on April 17th every year. Wines of Argentina (WofA), the organization responsible for the image of Argentine wine worldwide,  selected Argentinean Cellars and the Government of the City or Buenos Aires have jointly created this year the "Malbec Week" ("La Semana del Malbec"), that will take place in Buenos Aires from April 4th to April 10th, 2016.

Several activities related to Malbec wine will be held throughout the week at different locations around the city. The main event and closing of the "Malbec Week" will take place on April 9th at Hipodromo de Palermo, on Av. Del Libertador 4101, opening Malbec World Day celebrations worldwide,  from noon until midnight. A day full of lectures, live shows, food trucks and more than 100 labels for tasting; Food trucks like Nómade, The Pick Market, Marcha & Sale, Parrilla Don Julio. Live music by Mamita Peyote, Gimme Da Beat, reggae bands and dj sets by Fabián Couto, Exe Bunge and Interaxxis,

In addition, more than 50 restaurants in the city will offer significant discounts for accompanying your meals with Malbec during the week.

On Friday, April 8, for the first Wineries´Night, selected wineries, in the city will remain open from 9 pm to 12 am, offering free tastings, live shows, and great promotions for the purchase of Malbec wines.
