World Environment Day celebration

In celebration of the World Environment Day, the city of Buenos Aires organizes the Festival "Los pies en el pasto" (The feet on the grass) on Saturday June 10th and Sunday, June 11th, 2017, at Parque Thays, Ave del Libertador & Callao, from 11 am to 6 pm, with free entrance to the public.

The programmed activities include:

° Live painting
° Photographic exhibit: 30 photos about the National Parks and landscapes of Argentina
° Talks about Climate change; Sustainable gardens; Greener cities; Food
° Cooking classes
° Theater plays (Saturday 2 pm and Sunday 1 pm)
° Urraka” Music with objects (Saturday 12 pm and Sunday 2 pm
° Movies from the Green Film Fest: TERRA Saturday 1.30 pm to 3 pm; WASTE LAND Sunday 1.30 pm to 3 pm
° Exhibition of electric cars by Renault 
° Yoga classes (Saturday and Sunday, 12 pm to 12.45 pm and 4 pm to 4.45 pm)
° Free workshops throughout the weekend 
° Gastronomic Fair with a space dedicated to French cuisine
° Closing of the events with a musical show by the band Sobredosis de Soda tribute to Soda Stereo, at 5 pm each day.

Visitors will also have the chance to see the installation "Nature and Harmony" (photo), a live artwork by french artist Francois Abelanet that plays with the points of view of the public and changes depending on the location of the viewer or the different angles when photographed with the cell phone. The artwork, located in Parque Thays next to the Botero statue, will remain open to the public until July 3rd, every day from 10 am to 6 pm.
