This special date will be celebrated once again in Buenos Aires, this year a few days earlier, on Saturday, March 7th, 2020 with a big Fair and Street Parade organized by the Irish - Argentine Association, on Avenida de Mayo and Bolivar in downtown Buenos Aires.

The event will start at 12:00 noon, with the opening of the Celtic and Nordic Fair, with more than 50 stalls offering typical Irish products, books, crafts and traditional food such as and Colcannon, Boxty and Coddle, among many other specialties.

The traditional Saint Patrick's Day Parade will start at 3:00 pm, when the representatives of the Irish groups residing in Argentina will march towards the large stage. Visitors are encouraged to wear green to accompany the parade.

The Marching Bands of the Argentine Army and Patricios Regiment will also participate in this event, in honor of the Irish born Admiral William (Guillermo) Brown, founder of the Argentine Army.

During the day different shows will be presented on the main stage, including traditional folk dances, music and pipes. A band paying tribute to U2 that will perform their most well known songs. Several Irish artists will be present together with Argentine musicians, finalizing at 7:30 pm.

In case of rain the event will be rescheduled.
